Evening, please read on. It may be able to give you some encouragement. This is true especially for the students from 2D. I am aware of a group of students have been given reminders ‘gently’ for the past two days.
For all those who have been gently reminded, PLEASE go back, THINK WHY you have been reminded gently.
It is truly a waste of energy of the teacher to keep reminding the students gently. Why does she do that? Why? Is it because she really enjoys this process? Or is it because there is a reason for doing that?
And for this, I really HOPE that my class can reflect WHY the reminders have been given. Students like BC, JX, SY, RT, RAmeen, MY, JM…. please spend the time thinking carefully WHY.
Thanks.
For those who have retreated back into the “turtle” shell or claming themselves up like a clam, or oyster, please “OPEN” up again when I see you come Monday. Instead of turning in inwards like a turtle (which we have just learned this word for the past 2 Spellings), please be as brave as a lion.
To SY, I am sorry if I have been too harsh yesterday. You may be new to the class, but I am already treating you as one of my class on the first day you have joined this class. Please do not fret in my class. I will not "gobble" you up or "trouble" you too.
Just remember: when it is the time to work, you work and you should work VERY HARD. However, when it is the time to play, you should also PLAY equally hard. E.g. during the modular CCA, please enjoy yourself thoroughly. There is this saying: Carpe diem is a phrase from a Latin poem by Horace which is popularly translated as "seize the day"
Therefore, if there is anything you do not know or requires clarifications, never ever stop asking questions. The moment you stop asking questions, you have stopped to learn.
Well, a good way to ensure that you are learning is to ensure that you ask as at least 3 questions every day.
Don’t Quit – there is a famous poem in case whenever you think of stopping to try, please try not to quit.
Think about this….

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don't you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won had he stuck it out;
Don't give up though the pace seems slow--
You may succeed with another blow.
Often the goal is nearer than,
It seems to a faint and faltering man,
Often the struggler has given up,
When he might have captured the victor's cup,
And he learned too late when the night slipped down,
How close he was to the golden crown.
Success is failure turned inside out--
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit--
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit.
